The Kingdom Between the Tides
What began as a photograph of the rugged California coastline became a journey into another time. The enormous rocks rising from the Pacific seemed almost like the foundations of an ancient civilization waiting to be discovered. From those natural formations, a forgotten kingdom emerged, with stone villages, towering temples, narrow stairways, and bridges connecting islands surrounded by restless seas. A lone traveler stands above the crashing waves, looking toward a kingdom that time has nearly erased. Below him, a mysterious swirl moves through the water, suggesting that something ancient may still be alive beneath the surface. Perhaps the kingdom was never truly abandoned. Perhaps the sea has simply been keeping its secrets.

The Garden Has a Guardian
One of the things I love about walking in Oregon is that there’s always something bringing color to the neighborhood. Sometimes it’s flowers, sometimes it’s the changing leaves, but every season has something beautiful to offer.
Here it was October, and this wonderful bush was still bursting with delicate white blossoms. I couldn’t help stopping to admire it and take a picture. At first, I wasn’t sure what more I could do with it. But with a little imagination, some colorful butterflies, and one charming little snake watching over his garden, an ordinary moment became something magical.
Sometimes nature provides the beauty. All we have to do is give it another way to tell its story.
