The Sheriff of Pumpkin Gulch

October 12, 2026

Somewhere in the Old West, there’s a little town where Halloween lasts a bit longer than everywhere else.

Welcome to Pumpkin Gulch, where the sheriff has his hands full keeping order among the town’s mischievous residents.

There’s a raccoon hiding behind the pumpkins, a curious little creature perched on the fence, a masked squirrel guarding the treats, and a crow who looks like he knows more than he’s telling.

And right in the middle of it all stands our little green sheriff, determined to keep the peace.

We took a simple Halloween decoration and let our imaginations carry it into an old Western town filled with autumn colors, glowing lanterns, and a little Halloween mischief.

Sometimes the most enjoyable adventures begin with something ordinary that makes you smile.

Photography, imagination, and a little help from AI.

A Long, Strange Halloween

Another one of those unexpected moments in downtown Dallas, Oregon.

A couple of musicians were putting on quite a show. You could tell they’d been playing together for a long, long time. Maybe longer than anyone cares to remember.

They seemed to be having a pretty good day, though how many more they’ve got left is anybody’s guess!

The music was flowing, the pumpkins were getting into the rhythm, and somewhere along the way, the whole place turned into one big Halloween jam session.

A little Grateful Dead, a little Willie Nelson, and a whole different kind of beat.

Sometimes all it takes is a little imagination to turn an ordinary downtown moment into something that might just play on forever.
